The Great Gatsby, a story full of tragedy. Characters that are married cheat on eachother. The husband cheats on the wife and the wife cheats on the husband. The main character of this story is Gatsby.
Gatsby is a wealthy, very wealthy man. He has a big mansion, cars, and a lot of money. Gatsby is in love with a woman named Daisy. Gatsby and Daisy were together but were separated when Gatsby was sent to war. When Gatsby returned from the war, Daisy had already gotten married and also had a child with that guy.
Gatsby can get anything he wants with his money, but he cant get Daisy, the women he loves. They cannot be together, they both love eachother but they just cant be. Daisy has a family, a child and a husband. He does'nt give up though. He desires Daisy more than anything in the world and he doesnt want to lose her. Gatsby has a lot of party's at his house. He doesnt even know the people who attend his party's. I think its pretty dumb because something bad could happen to him. For example, he could get robbed for the stuff he has in his house or they can damage his house.
Their is alot of drama and violence in this story. There is couples who are not happy with their partners and cheat on one another. Mertle gets ranned over and dies. Gatsby wastes the rest of his life trying to get with the woman he loves. Because at the end he gets shot and dies. He lost everything he had, his house, cars, and all of his money.
