Mauricio Torres

This paper is on Chucks Hero's Journey. Chuck is a guy who gets lost on a stranded island. At the end he finds his way back home.

His calling was to get back home but the plain blows up taking him on a unexpected deserted island. He didn't have much of a choice so the threshold stage is pertty small. The desent was when the remainder of the plain flew into the water and he landed on the island.

The abyss was when he awoke and found himself on the island. He had to learn how to learn how to survive. His mentor was himself and his past skills. Wilson was more like his best friend so that he wouldn't go crazy. The transformation takes place when he learns how to take advantage of the island. He learns how to make fire, he learns how to fish but most importantly he learns how to get off the the island.

He gets back to his ex-girlfriend and everything is not what he expects, shes with another man. He ends up with her at the end after all the time away.

Chuck completed the whole Hero's Journey but some of the events took very little time. Most of the movie was spent in the mentor and transformation stages. All in all I really like the movie.
